Girl and Boyfriend Escape Death As Her Ex-boyfriend Drives Them On His Car Bonnet (Photos)


A couple were made to cling to their lives on a car bonnet as a furious man sped through a city in eastern China. Surveillance footage captured how the white SUV travelling for nearly two miles on a motorway with two people lying on the bonnet.




It’s reported that the couple on top of the car had been in a money row with the driver, who is the ex-boyfriend of the woman.

According to Xianchangyan, the driver, surnamed Zhong, is an ex-boyfriend of the woman who lay on his car bonnet on September 19.

Mr Zhong was seen driving his white SUV on route S229 in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, while his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were clinging onto his car’s bonnet. The couple had to hold onto the windscreen wipers of the car firmly.



The report stated that the woman and her new boyfriend lay on Mr Zhong’s car bonnet after noticing Mr Zhong had started the car engine and attempted to escape. The dangerous stunt alerted onlookers to report the police.

The report said that Mr Zhong drove for three kilometres (1.86 miles) before being stopped by the policemen.

Mr Zhong explained in the video that the incident was caused by a money dispute. ‘I had financial difficulties and she lent me money,’ said Mr Zhong.

He explained that he had been paying back about 2,000 to 3,000 yuan (£225 to £337) every month. He said he had got a hand-written receipt to prove his claim.



No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident. The Taizhou police are investigating for further details.
